Hanmer Springs Mountainbike Club

The Hanmer Springs Mountainbike Club first started in August 2004.The club consists of a small number of volunteers who help build and maintain the mountain bike tracks in the Hanmer forest.
The club often have orgainsed working bees where members of the club, and anyone who rides the tracks, can help maintain and build new tracks. The clubs main fundraiser for the year is the Hammerhead mountain bike race, which consists of a lot of the sweet singletrack in the forest.
A lot of thanks has to go to Matariki Forests who have allowed us to build mountain bike tracks on their land, with out such a great relationship we would not have the great tracks that we do.
